CUPPING
Cupping is a form of therapy where cups, either glass or plastic, are placed on the skin and a partial vacuum is created by either using heat or suction. This causes the tissues to be drawn up and increase blood flow to the area. Dry cupping is growing in popularity in western society and became more visible after the 2016 Olympic Games where swimmers, in particular Michael Phelps, were seen to be using cupping.
